We're passionate about making pottery wheel throwing accessible to everyone. Since 2021, we've been teaching beginners how to center clay, throw with confidence, and discover the meditative craft of ceramic glazing.

How It All Started

Urbovault Ltd didn't begin as a grand plan. It started with a simple observation: most people want to try pottery, but they're intimidated by the learning curve. We saw frustrated beginners giving up after their first session, and we knew we could change that.

We've built something different here in Wexford. Rather than assuming everyone learns the same way, we meet people where they are. Some folks need patient hands-on guidance. Others want clear explanations of technique before touching the wheel. We do both.

Our weekend workshops fill up quickly because we keep class sizes small and genuinely care whether you improve. That's not marketing speak — it's just how we operate. You'll work with the same instructors across multiple sessions, so they'll remember your progress and adjust the teaching accordingly.

What We Focus On

Our Teaching Philosophy

We don't believe in shortcuts. Real skill develops through structured practice, immediate feedback, and understanding the why behind each technique.

Centering Fundamentals

We spend time on centering because everything else flows from it. Solid foundation, then building upward. You won't rush past this.

Hands-On Coaching

Our instructors guide your hands physically when needed, show you what proper pressure feels like, and answer every "why" question.

Glazing Mastery

Beyond the wheel. We cover glaze selection, application techniques, and firing results so you understand the complete process.

About Our Workshops

Urbovault Ltd provides educational pottery wheel throwing instruction designed to teach technique, materials knowledge, and craft fundamentals. Individual learning outcomes depend on personal practice, dedication, and prior experience with pottery or similar arts. The workshops we offer are structured to introduce beginners to wheel throwing, but skill development is a gradual process that extends well beyond our classes. Results and progress vary by student, and we encourage everyone to approach pottery as a long-term practice rather than a quick skill acquisition. Our instructors provide guidance based on years of experience, but pottery remains an art form with a significant learning curve — persistence and patience are essential.
